Contexte scientifique
La loi Claeys-Leonetti [1] du 2 février 2016 instaure un droit d’accès à la sédation profonde et continue jusqu’au décès (S.P.C.J.D.), chez un patient atteint de maladie grave, incurable dont le pronostic vital est engagé à court terme et présentant une souffrance dite réfractaire.
Objectifs du projet et brève description des méthodes employées pour les atteindre
Notre étude propose d’évaluer les effets de la sédation profonde et continue jusqu’au décès dans le processus du deuil du conjoint d’un patient atteint de cancer. A notre connaissance, il existe peu d’études menées sur l’expérience subjective du deuil du conjoint dans le cadre d’une S.P.C.J.D.

Résultats attendus
Les résultats de l’étude devraient permettre de participer à la prévention des risques de complication du deuil .Nous élaborerons des recommandations à destinations de l’ensemble des soignants quant à l’accompagnement des proches pendant la fin de vie du patient, et les spécificités inhérentes à chaque situation de fin de vie.
